Rusty Brown was born and raised
in Southern California, fishing for as long as he remembers.
He has been a professional bass fisherman 15 years, winning
the 2013 WON BASS US Open as well as numerous top
10 finishes in Pro and Team events, all over the United
States. He has earned a reputation as a big fish hunter,
with over 60 bass caught between 10 and 14 pounds, as well
as 2 in the 15 pound range.
You can find Rusty at a variety
of speaking engagements throughout the year, sharing his
expertise in several bass fishing techniques. Rusty gives
seminars during the California Fred Hall Shows, at the Bass-Tank,
Marine annual Bass-A-Thon, and additional speaking engagements
on behalf of Rapala, and at Turner's Outdoorsman as their
bass fishing expert.
His 2014 scheduled includes
events such as FLW Western Everstart tournaments, the Lucas
Oil tournaments, occasional team circuits, and the 2014
US Open. He will continue as a full time guide between tournaments
and speaking at public engagements, as an ambassador of
Rusty has extensive knowledge
of local lakes in Southern California, such as Lake Isabella,
Irvine Lake, Lake Castaic, Lake Perris, Diamond Valley Lake,
Lake Piru, Silverwood Lake, Lake Hodges, Lake Otay, Lake
San Vincente, El Capitan Lake, Lake Elsinore and Lake Pyramid.
